How the fellowship began
Pastor John first contacted Victory Over Vice Ministries after studying victory in Christ online. Their September 22, 2026 conversation became the beginning of an ongoing relationship of prayer, Bible study, discipleship, and fellowship.
John serves in the Rongo area of Kenya. Ministry conversations have focused on understanding Scripture, the love of Christ, faithful discipleship, and helping believers learn and serve together.
Scripture people can study themselves
During the October 3 coordination conversation, John explained the need for Bibles in Luo. He wanted believers to be able to read and study Scripture for themselves between gatherings, rather than depending only on what they could hear in a meeting.
Printed discipleship teaching and dependable communication are further practical priorities. Language-appropriate materials require local review, and printing and delivery arrangements are being considered with the people who will use them.
Practical provision alongside discipleship
Victory Works serves the practical needs connected with this fellowship, alongside VOVM’s teaching and preaching. Bibles, teaching resources, essential supplies, and communication support are areas in which provision is being organized.
